Hey gang, I didn't want there to be a panic that there wouldn't be a Top Ten this season. I'm still bogged down at work and also moving this weekend. As such, the first top ten will be most likely after next Wednesday's games. This delay will also give the standings a little more time to shake out.
I hope everyone has a great week, and I look forward to your comments starting next week.
P.S. Since Dr. Nick is now on vacation, I would love if another mod could unstick last season's Top Ten and stick this season's.

Take your time Hannibal. As much I look forward to reading this every week, I know it can be challenging to come up with the time to do it thoroughly. Better to have your full article than just rankings IMO even if it's less often
Best of luck with the work issues and moving!

Someone needs to make a Kareem one or I need to move to Bird.

I can probably make a Kareem one, but not sure if I have the time quite yet.

There were beastmaster type characters in the Star Wars Galaxy and Everquest II. I hate to admit it but I spent a dozen + years of my life on those 2 games (not to mention Age of Conan and original Everquest). Never did the WOW thing though.
So if that was the reference then I guess I got it as well.

Actually Dina and I just got into a card game type thing on Facebook lol
In terms of naming beasts, it's sad that I can reference original Monster Manuals for D&D ![]()
But I am a Star Wars nerd, went to Star Wars in Concert in May with Anthony Daniels narrating as well as a mini Star Wars museum on location ![]()

Man did I hate EQ2. If I could only have all that time back from EQ, EQ2, WoW, MTG, etc., etc., etc.......
Glad I stopped all those MMOs ![]()

Hoping to spur Hannibal to take this over, I thought I'd throw something out there ![]()
#1) NDSU Bison 25-4 (Last Week 6-1) - While the gap has definitely narrowed from #1 to #2, the Bison continue to hold the top spot. Games are getting closer and closer, so we'll see how this team fares down the stretch run. This team is headlined by Ryan Dockter amassing 41.5 ppg and shooting 51% from the field.
#2) Diliman United 18-11 (Last Week 2-5) - The defending champs had a rough week, but will definitely rebound. This team is not a fan of the new scheduling system as they have faced the #1 team 11 times already this season. They have delivered the Bison 3 of their 4 losses this season, but still have the dreaded 8 losses. Ronnie Magsanoc continues to throw out ungodly numbers almost averaging a double-double (points/assists).
#3) Court Rivals Pride 17-12 (Last Week 3-4) - One of the most balanced teams this year. They will not lead any team categories, but you won't see them on the bottom end of the spectrum either. Heartbreak Kid might be in Ronnie's shadow, but is having a pretty good first half (3.4ppg/8.9apg/1.1spg).
#4) Original Pilipino Music 18-11 (Last Week 3-4) - I have yet to figure this team out although I'm not quite sure why at this point. They don't have an unorthodox lineup, and don't have an obscene amount of SPs yet, but still remain a mystery to this agent. Watch out once Pilita Corrales gets to 900 and becomes fully active, but for now Rico Puno is leading this team with his 13 ppg and 7.4 apg while only having 0.2 turnovers/game.
#5) Chicken Mafia 16-13 (Last Week 4-3) - This team is doing what they need to - they are beating the teams they should, but losing badly in quite a few of their losses (what happened last night guys?). Mafia is the only team to support a .500 record against the #1 team however (1-1 with a 2 pt loss on a last second jumper). While they have quite a few guys that are competing for individual accomplishments, watch of for Chicken of the Sea when he gets to 900 points - he will no doubt improve his 37.7 ppg.
#6) Strong Cundiff 18-11 (Last Week 5-2) - I honestly have no idea why they are this low, but this is where they ended up. If you look at the numbers, this team will no doubt compete for one of the coveted #1 seeds come playoff time. They shoot just under 50% from the field and over 41% from 3s, so we know they can shoot and at the same time only average 13 turnovers/game, so we know they can take care of the ball. That's a deadly combination when it comes down to win-or-go-home. Perennial MVP candidate Stephen Curry is doing his thing with 37+ppg - down from where we are used to seeing him, but still impressive none-the-less.
#7) Bloody Mary 19-10 (Last Week 5-2) - What does Pro A ranking of 1st in Blocks, 2nd in Steals, 3rd in Rebounds, 3rd in PPG get you? Apparently 7th best. If you don't remember who Bloody Mary is, take a look back a few seasons and you will soon be refreshed. This is a very dangerous team to face down the stretch led by Kobe Bryant averaging 41ppg.
#8) Golden State Warriors 09-10 18-11(Last Week 3-4) - One week this team will be very good and the next they will lose 5-6 games. They have been able to stay under the radar for the most part, so we'll soon see how they fare against the elite teams. Averaging 41.7ppg like Reggie Williams is is impressive no matter who they are playing - just wait until he hits 900!
#9) Eggsistential Crisis 16-14 (Last Week 4-3) - We aren't used to seeing this team this low for so long, but they are slowly making their way back up. The first half of the year, they were losing games to #1-8, but the past few weeks, they are starting to win some of those games. Those are the games that show you what they can do come playoff time. Hopefully they become relevant enough again that Hannibal takes this over again (he has been pretty spot on the past few seasons). Can't really call out anyone on the team since they have the #1 in rebounds and steals and #3 in blocks.
#10) Raiders of the Lost Walrus 16-13 (Last Week 2-5) - Rounding out the top 10 is a team that could move up if they stop playing Strong Cundiff. Tonight isn't the place to start though as they take on the Bison. The Monarch dishing out 9 assist/game will definitely be a key player to help them move up.
Rounding out the top 14: #11) RKBB, #12) Pwnstars, #13) UNBA Globetrotters , #14) Venice Beach Streetball Club
